What time do the churches at the Rampart relate to?

The Rampart (The Val or Detinets meaning “Fortress”) is a unique place not only in Chernigov but in the whole Ukraine. In the ancient time the territory of the Rampart was densely populated, there were streets and even probably several squares. The magnificent Cathedral of our Savior is located at the heart of the Rampart. This silent powerful cathedral has been watching 10 centuries of history. Rulers and epochs changed, time passed but the cathedral is still here standing on the Rampart reminding us about the glorious city of Chernigov city. The cathedral was founded in 1030 by prince Mstyslav. He was a very powerful prince, during his ruling the territory of the city expanded greatly, was honored a lot and was buried in the Cathedral. During many centuries the cathedral was the main church in Chernigov. You can visit it`s marvelous services even today. The cathedral is richly decorated and one can feel the great energy standing inside the church under the dome.
Near this cathedral there is another wonderful architectural monument called Boris and Gleb Cathedral. It was built in the XII-th century by prince David. It is a museum now.
Next comes the ancient college. It was founded in 1700 and was the first high educational institution in the Left-Bank Ukraine. The example for this college was Kievo-Mogilianskay Academy. Education was expensive at that time, not everyone could afford it. The college gave a great education and many famous people graduated from the college.
