Where did Chernigov princes live?

Everyone likes to take a nice walk around the Rampart, a calm place where ancient churches are located, we walk, sit and talk enjoying the nature realizing OR having no idea about how ancient this place really is! This is the place where ancient rulers of Chernigov lived, who created destinies of the city and people living here. Here the glory begins…. The Rampart was the fortress, the castle that protected the city, that was able to withstand numerous attacks of enemies. Here was the political, administrative and of course religious center of the principality. All the administrative buildings were located here along with the houses of rich and noble people and of course the churches were and still are here.
